Critiques Are Rough

This “ring” is the embodiment of how I view critiques in art classes, we are our own worst critics. The center column represents a pedestal on which work is placed and reviewed. Surrounding the center is a tissue box for those times when emotions aren’t able to be contained anymore, a magnifying glass (10x) because we are far more critical of our work than others are, and a hearing/ megaphone device (one can not talk and listen at the same time).
